The rush of the season makes for little knitting time, so no real progress on anything. However, I have managed to get some rounds in on Treysta. I am just so in love with the colors in this sweater. It makes me happy even if I can only knit a haphazard round here or there! The body grows slowly, but it grows!
I am still on the Peace Train and I worked on it last night at Knit Night. It is the perfect peaceful knitting project, and it has grown a bit from this photo taken during the daylight hours on Tuesday!
I am ever so grateful for audiobooks as they are the perfect companion for the rush of Christmas.
I finished:
The Hundred-Year-Old-Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared and LOVED it! I have added another of Jonas Jonasson’s books to my “read list” The Girl Who Saved the King of Sweden.
I also finished Beasts of Extraordinary Circumstance. I enjoyed it and it was a quick read. It reminded me of Jungle Book, in that here is a story of Weylyn Grey who was raised by wolves. It is a charming little tale. There is magic and wonder and fantasy and it is a beautifully told story.
Currently reading:
Sing, Unburied, Sing and The Rules of Magic.
Up next is Bonfire. I am really pushing hard to get to 85 books before the end of the year. I am close, but it will require some work!
What is occupying your time this week?
Thank you for joining me this week!
I think you have more hours in your day than I do….
The colors in your sweater are just wonderful! I can see why it brings happiness to you whenever you look at it. (Sometimes that is enough.) XO
Beautiful sweater!
It’s a shame that at this time of year when we need stress-reducing knitting and reading the most, we have little free time! Like Kym said, the color and beauty of your sweater is enough to make anyone happy, and more knitting time will return soon enough. I’m counting on it!
I love the colors in that sweater, I think they will look wonderful on you. 85 books! That’s impressive! I’ll probably go over my goal of 75 but a book or perhaps two but not more than that.
Your sweater is so beautiful. I think we are all in the same spot…so many things we want to do (whether it be reading, knitting, baking, visiting friends, etc.) and not enough hours in the days, weeks. Soon the rush will fade.
This time of year so many balls are in the air. Your sweater is beautiful and the colors you chose are perfect together! Audio books are entertaining while other projects are completed. I wish you luck on all your goals!
Gosh, every time I see your Treysta I fall a little bit more in love with it. The colors you’ve chosen play SO well together!
Peaceful knitting. That’s what i did on my Log Cabin last night!
I am asking Al about the 100 yearold man book. .She loves to read.
Hint: instead of q and a we MAY have abook special coming on Compassionknit next year…
This sweater is so lovely, and it will be worth all the time you’re putting in when it’s done!
I am so envious of all the reading time you seem to manage. I wish I had more time to read. I’ve only read 20 so far this year, but two of them were Outlander books, and I feel like those should each count for two or three. 😉
I’m glad you liked the 100 year old man (and now I need to check out the King of Sweden 🙂 I, too, am making s l o w knitting progress…but I am certainly enjoying this Advent Season!
Your sweater looks fabulous!!
Apparently I’ve hit stressed out (and probably, to be honest, a little depressed) because I’m not knitting and I’m not reading. At least one of those things needs to change and soon!
Beautiful sweater! I’m listening to Nobody’s Fool…24 hour book…yikes!
I read the 100 year old man and liked it too. What an adventure 🙂 lovely sweater and every row you do you get one more done. That is what I tell myself when I knit my son in law’s sweater!
Read on! Sing Unburied Sing is on my list for Jan 2018! Planning to get more serious knitting projects going in 2018…
Cheers~
