Last weekend saw a bit of Kon-Mari happening at my house. It was, as they say, a very good thing! Now, I am nowhere near ready for the Master Course, but small steps are happening!

I saw this recently on Skillshare and…

I. Cannot. Get. It. Out. Of. My. Head. I have watched it a zillion times and might even be looking at watercolor paints and paper…

L’Oisive Thé has been posting such tempting photos on their Instagram feed of Melanie Berg’s Solaris and she just released a new pattern: Rheinlust. I am jonesing to knit both. Bad.

Clue two on Kirsten Kapur’s MKAL has been printed out and I will be working on completing it this week.

Goulet Pens with their weekly email update has amped up the anticipation for this year’s Special Edition Lamy Al-Star fountain pen. The color is so perfect. Mid-February cannot get here soon enough.

I got a truly awesome Staub pan for Christmas and I have used it multiple times. However, it is ruining me for using any other cookware. Ruining, I tell you. No, it is not an Instant Pot. But, for how I like to cook, it is perfect for me!

Oh, and the dying of the hair continues. Especially, since a couple of friends gave me “what the hell” looks when I discussed not dying my hair any longer. Yeah. Who knew I was so easily influenced by peer pressure!

Which brings me to this – I have really struggled to find a reasonable hair stylist here in The Burgh. I most recently was seeing someone I liked, however, without warning at my last appointment the price was significantly higher than my previous visit (a mere 5 weeks earlier). Nice to learn when you are paying for a service that the service increased. Not. Needless to say, this left a very sour taste in my mouth and I am back to square one of trying to find someone I like who does not charge an arm and a leg. This is, apparently, a seemingly an impossible task.

On top of that I am now in the mid-winter Dry Skin Zone. The Sahara Desert has nothing on me right now. There is not enough moisturizer in the world to help me. Seriously.

But, Steve found a new app in the App Store – Old Sport. It is kind of fun, you tell it what drink ingredients you have in the house and it gives you a list of potential cocktails you can make. PLUS, it even tells you what you might be able to make if you get one more ingredient. Yeah. Added to my shopping list: Luxardo. Download it and tell me what your cocktail for the weekend will be!

And that, Gentle Reader, is all there is rattling loose around my brain. See you all back here on Monday!
