Practice meditation regularly. Meditation leads to eternal bliss. Therefore meditate, meditate – Swami Sivananda.

In search of bliss, one can easily overlook the steps to get there… namely the meditation part.

So here’s to the fine are of meditation, and the practice thereof, and just in time for Lent.

Now, I probably should tell you that I have a long way to go to achieve Meditation Excellence. My meditation skills are in the Meditation Failure Category, honestly.

At least they were until I something that helps me in the meditation process, and profoundly so!

Moreover, if you are interested in the key to my success, I will share it with you…it is spinning.

Yes, you read that right, spinning, and not the kind that you do in a gym.

Rather, the kind you do with a Spinning Wheel.

Yes, Spinning has consumed me lately; in thought, word and deed.

This consumption has been most productive too, as I have almost finished spinning and plying enough Blue faced Leicester dyed by the esteemed Briar Rose Fibers to knit myself another pair of socks. All that remains is to ply up the last bits and set the twist.

I had forgotten how relaxing, uplifting, and energizing spinning is.

How meditative even.

My mind empties of all that is cluttering it, my spirit is calm and peaceful, and time seems to stand still.

A very good thing, as I have used the time to review some things in my life.

So, my advice to you, should you be seeking it Gentle Reader…spend some time in meditation this week… meditate, meditate.

Or alternatively, as I do at Casa del KatKnits…Practice spinning regularly. Spinning leads to eternal bliss. Therefore spin, spin!
