Yes, it is Primary Day here in Michigan. Our much touted, moved to a new date because we think we are so important primary.
As a result of our moving the primary – we don’t have all the candidates on the ballot.
There’s some brilliance huh?
I have not had any responses from any of the candidates – so I fear there is not a knitter in the bunch! Although Hillary did say that she likes to clean out closets and drawers to relax. Wow, there is some normalcy, huh?
Hillary – have I got some relaxing time for you – head on over and you can have at it with my closets and drawers! You will be so relaxed we will need to pour you in your chauffer driven vehicle!
Now really, gentle reader, what on earth should one think about someone who cleans drawers and closets for relaxation???
I think she needs a new hobby! Or a very good shrink!
The candidates on the “other” slate are do not offer much improvement I fear.
But, if you are still working on which candidate is “your man or gal” just head over to Michigan Radio’s Select A Candidate link and they have some questions that will help you decide.
Have a good day everyone – I am off to vote!
I think a person who cleans closets and drawers for relaxation is pretty ok, since that is also what I do. Whenever I’m stressed it relaxes me to clean anything at all. There is something about the sorting process I think, because I know many people who do this. Not only does this sorting process take your mind off whatever is stressing you or bugging you, but the physical sorting of items seems to help the brain sort through the emotions that go with the stress and level them out. It’s always worked for me ever since I was a child. Even if I get mad, which is seldom for me, I clean. It works so much better than yelling or getting physical in other ways. I have always loved cleaning and organizing and don’t find much wrong with using it to deal with stress. I’ve never needed a shrink yet.
Thanks for the link – it was really interesting. I did another one of those things but the questions and choices were much more limited, so I didn’t think the outcome was very accurate. On this one I matched up closest with Obama and that’s who I’m supporting, so yeah!
I bet her chauffeur would like a relaxed Hilary, considering the stories I have heard about how she cusses at them. And these aren’t news stories, my cousin is in the secret service. He has been covering Obama, so he is in the mix now and then.
Hillary would have gotten along swimmingly with my dear departed mother-in-law (she of the you-can’t-possibly-have-cleaned-this-recently tub fiasco.)
Here’s to the next MI primary, when I will be eligible…
Blessings!
Oh yeah…
This story also reminds me of the time Greg (my psychologist buddy) told me he had a patient who wouldn’t sit down on his couch until he had cleaned Greg’s office. At $158 an HOUR!!!
I told him to send him to my house… I’d charge a lot less for the privilege…
